Feel Good in the Forest: Guided Jog & Walk

We're working in partnership with Forestry England to deliver activities for their "Feel Good in the Forest" programme. This is a series of activities for people who are looking to improve their health and wellbeing, to meet new people and spend time outdoors.

Sessions are delivered by our qualified and supportive team of leaders and are similar to our Trail Therapy sessions; we set a pace that is comfortable for everyone as the activities are more about enjoying the surroundings and the benefits to mental wellbeing than having a hard workout. Nobody ever gets left behind.

This event will have options to jog or walk. It will start from Hartshorne and explore the local trails and woodland.

PLEASE NOTE: As it will get dark during this session you must have a head or chest torch.

Please visit the Feel Good in the Forest webpage for information regarding bringing children and/or dogs to this session, as not all activities will be suitable; https://www.peakrunning.co.uk/feel-good-in-the-forest

Distance: 6 miles jogging group / 4.25 miles walking group

Peak District Wayfarer Hike: "Kinder Fabulous"

A wonderful hike in the High Peak, also serving as a recce of part of the Peak District Birthday Bash route.

Join us for a wonderful hike in the High Peak on a spectacular route that includes one of our favourite places IN THE WORLD and approximately half our Peak District Birthday Bash 35k route. We'll be covering around 12-miles with 2,200ft of elevation gain.

As well as great day out in its own right, this hike is also useful as a recce for those taking part in the Birthday Bash. Expect some challenging hills, as well as the usual array of Peak District rocks and bogs, but some great views and probably a few laughs along the way to make it all worthwhile.

You'll be led by members of our experienced team who are fully qualified Mountain Leaders. So, as well as being in safe hands, there will be plenty of tips and advice on adventuring out into the hills.

Meeting at Hayfield ready for a 9:00am start. Exact location will be sent in confirmation email after booking.

The group will walk at a pace that is comfortable for all participants and there will plenty of opportunities for photo/snack stops along the way. Although don't expect to pass any shops or pubs as we'll be exploring some quite remote terrain, and anticipate the hike taking 5-6 hours.

12-miles, 2200ft elevation - the best views!
