Walking Talking Tuesday is now part of the Feel Good in the Forest program! We're working in partnership with Forestry England to deliver activities for their "Feel Good in the Forest" programme. This is a series of activities for people who are looking to improve their health and wellbeing, to meet new people and spend time outdoors.
Walking Talking Tuesday sessions are delivered by the wonderful Debs - aka Shorty - and provide opportunity to enjoy the fresh air, trails and good conversation.

What could be better than breaking up your week with an evening out on the trails with our #trailtherapy gang?
What could be better than breaking up your week with an evening out on the trails with our #trailtherapy gang. So we'll be finishing off the month with the 'Bluebells and Great Views' event, which will be exactly what it says on the tin and have options to either jog or walk.
Our #trailtherapy events are guided by our friendly and supportive team of leaders. We set a pace that is comfortable for everyone as the activities are more about enjoying the surroundings and the benefits to mental wellbeing than having a hard workout. Nobody ever gets left behind.
Distance: jogging group 6.6 miles, walking group 4.75 miles

Eryri / Snowdonia Weekend of Adventure
Join us on the May Day bank holiday weekend for a epic trip to Eryri / Snowdonia
Join us on this exciting weekend of adventures in the spectacular mountains or Eryri.
We'll be travelling over to our base on the Friday evening (2nd May) to make the most of the extended weekend, with three days of activities on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Returning home in the late afternoon on Monday.
The trip includes:
- Three days of fully guided hiking adventures with our experienced team of qualified Mountain Leaders.
- Travel by mini-bus from the Derby area (possible pick-up points en-route)
- 3-nights accommodation in a comfortable bunk house which we have exclusive use of
- Breakfast each day
- 2 x evening meals.
Our objective is to immerse you in the beauty of this truly spectacular area, show you some lesser known gems and send you home with a wealth of memorable experiences and - hopefully - increased confidence for future adventures.
Along the way and during our evening downtime we'll be sharing lots of knowledge and tips, and teaching you new skills for exploring the hills and mountains - whether you're a pure hiker or aspiring mountain/fell runner.

A Trail Therapy Special - Walking Talking Wednesday. Like Walking Talking Tuesday but at a new location and on a WEDNESDAY!
Karl Watson was so disappointed at not being able to help out at a recent Walking Talking Tuesday that he suggested to Debs, as Wednesday is his day off, we should do Talking Walking Wednesday - so here it is!
We're going somewhere a little different...a fantastic 6 mile route exploring Pooley Country Park, venturing out onto nearby trails before returning along the Coventry Canal. And the best bit...there's a great at the park.
We'll be meeting at 9:15am ready for a prompt 9:30am start. Full meeting details will be included in the confirmation email after booking.

Navigation Course
Navigation Skills for Runners & Walkers
A day spent learning and practicing key skills for navigating on the move.
A full day of learning navigation skills, including route planning, use of map and compass, technological aids, judging pace and distance, and mitigating risks.
After a short theoretical session, the majority of the day will be spent learning and practicing navigation out on the ground in a variety of terrain.
There will be maximum student to tutor ration of 6:1 to ensure everyone gets a high level of attention and has their own needs addressed.
The exact location, which will be somewhere in the Peak District, will be informed by where participants are travelling from, and will be confirmed a week prior to the event.
Price is £65 per person.
Note: we also run NNAS (National Navigation Award Scheme) courses at Bronze and Silver level which lead to an accredited qualification. This course can be done as an alternative to the Bronze course (without gaining the qualification) if you would like to go straight to the Silver (intermediate) level qualification.

Wayfarer Lite
Peak District Wayfarer Lite Run: The Two Trigs Terrific Trot
Join us for a wonderful morning of running on the edge of the Peak District.
Based from Waterhouses you'll be running over varying terrain in the safe hands of our experienced team on this Wayfarer Lite mini-adventure.
There'll be some hills to challenge us in order to achieve our goals of two local trig points, but the views overlooking Cauldron, the Maniford Valley and the Peak District National Park will make it well worth it. And there will be plenty of opportunity for chatty running on the trails and farm tracks as we explore this lovey area of Staffordshire.
Distance = 8-miles, with around 1100ft of elevation gain.
The group will go at a pace that is comfortable for all participants and there will plenty of opportunities for photo/snack stops along the way. We anticipate the run taking 2.5 to 3 hours hours approx.

Peak District Wayfarer Hike: The Bear in Bradfied
Join Matt aka Mountain Bear on a hike in the Peak District
An inspiring hike through the picturesque Bradfield area of the Peak District. Along the way you'll discover charming villages, tranquil woodlands, and a series of stunning reservoirs as we embark on a circular route encompassing Low Bradfield, High Bradfield, Agden Reservoir, Dale Dike Reservoir, Strines Reservoir, and Damflask Reservoir.
It promises to be a day of breath-taking scenery and refreshing exploration!
Meeting at Bradfield ready for a 9:00am start. Exact location will be sent in confirmation email after booking.
Distance: Approximately 10 miles taking around 5 to 6 hours.

The Bronze National Navigation Award is a practical hands-on award for runners or walkers. (Conducted at walking pace).
It is aimed at people with no navigation experience whether you are new to the outdoors or have been relying on others, guidebooks or easy well-defined routes. For the full Bronze Navigator award syllabus please see the NNAS website. The NNAS Bronze Navigator award is accredited by the Scottish Credit & Qualifications Framework (SCQF) at Level 4, and 2 SCQF credit points are awarded on completion.
This course is split over 2 days and the maximum tutor to participant ratio is 1:6
It will be held in the Peak District National Park, and being a very practical course will be entirely outdoors. The exact location will be advised to participants ahead of the course.

Brooksie's Bash
The original Peak Running event!
The ‘Bash’ was our original race and has grown in popularity year on year, due to the fantastic setting in the South Derbyshire countryside and friendly atmosphere, all whilst raising funds for Derbyshire Mind.
Our mission for the 'Bash' is to provide a good value event which is challenging but suitable for all abilities from the recreational runner looking for their next challenge to experienced racers.
If you haven't taken part in an off-road event before it is a great opportunity to come and have a go in a friendly and supportive environment.
The usual summer 'Bash' will not take place in July this year. We are currently working on revised event for later in the year.

The Fractured Marathon
The Fractured Marathon is an exciting event for teams or solo runners of all abilities. The innovative format has been a smash hit with participants ever since the inaugural event in 2019. It creates a great atmosphere and is as much a Friday night running party as a race!
Based in the grounds of the spectacular Calke Abbey, the event will run for 5 hours from 7pm until midnight; going from sunlight to starlight. There will be 10 timed laps around a scenic 2.6-mile course, which will start every half hour on the half hour.

Hill Skills for Runners
A full day of activities to help you build your confidence for running in the hills.
Want to try fell or trail running in the hills but not sure where to start? Scared you’ll end up lost, last, or flat on your face?
Led by our coaching team, who have many years of fell running experience themselves, this practical day is for those new to running on the fells or in the mountains. It includes a guided run on a classic village fell race route and lots of information, advice and coaching input.
During the day, which lasts around 6 hours in total, we cover:
• Top tips on the up-hills and downhills.
• Chance to practice your footwork skills over lots of fell running terrain
• Demos and explanation of kit requirements and needs.
• Explanations of race categories and which are right for your ability level
• Basic navigation skills

Truly spectacular routes in the UK's original national park
The fifth edition of our classic Peak District Ultras took take place on the last weekend in August 2025.
The event incorporated three races, all of which are UTMB World Series Qualifiers.
Friday 30th August: The Millstone 100 : 100 miles, 16,5000ft
Saturday 31st August: The Limestone 50 : 50 miles, 7,300ft
Saturday 31st August: The Peveril 33 : 33 miles, 6,000ft
The Ultras are taking a break this year. We are currently looking at options for it in the future.
